THE ESTHER SHOW

The original rock opera cabaret based on the mythical (okay, biblical) story of Esther, full of blasphemy, selective memory, and a lot of references to the king's golden scepter.

Created in 2002 and appearing across the nation on Purim ever since.

The "utterly sexy and captivating" cabaret rock band released its CD, When sparks fly in 2006.

Other Shows:

ORGANIC BOXED CHICKEN STOCK
Solo show at the San Francisco Fringe Festival 2007.

Commissions - music, art, and performance:

Bridge Across the Blue
Compilation CD with stories of identity and immigration
Amy composed music for and performed Praise, a poem by Ilya Kaminsky.
The recording features Colm O'Riain and Jessica Ivry.

One World, Many Faiths
A Collection of Altars by Women Artists
Curated by Carla Caletti at SomARTS Gallery in San Francisco, the exhibit included altars by 20 women from different cultural and spiritual backgrounds.

Excerpt from artist statement: "I designed an altar using a salvaged box and recorded sound, looping my voice and several pieces of my own music. Rather than place objects of worship in the altar, I wanted to explore the ideas of chanting and devotional music as altar objects. This was my answer to the altars all around me - Buddhist altars in restaurants, Barbie altars in my ironic friend's home, the lighted tree on the White House lawn at Christmas. Singing was my medium for exploring spiritual relationship without physical representation."

Power-Point for Peace
A comic artsy piece for peace
Created with Heather Gold, directed by Amy Mueller, and premiered at Brava: For Women in the Arts. Amy played Rainbow, who interpreted meaningless business jargon through hippie singing and interpretive dance.
